This article talks about some men, "street peddlers", who were selling items on the street and were approached by an officer. Gunfire ensued right after that where the suspect that fired at the officer was shot down and killed. The police said that there was a note found in the suspects pocket that said "I feel sorry for a cop who thinks I'm getting into his paddy wagon."
I am writing about this article because it bothered me a bit that a man was shot down in the middle of times square and the title made sure that the public knew nobody that was holiday shopping was injured. Just like, well a "bad" guy died but no worries, nobody got shot while ordering their Starbucks or paying for their wife's perfume.
The media is beyond influence by what the police want them to report especially in circumstances like these, and i think it is too bad that all the information anyone is receiving about this bad guy in the papers is that he was carrying a note.
